FAQ
Welcome!  Let me begin by telling you a bit about myself. I hold a BA in media and cultural studies from Florida Atlantic University with a minor in English and certificates in both women's studies and film and video.  I also have an MA in liberal studies from the New School for Social Research. Finally, I earned a master's of science in
counseling from Nova Southeastern University.  I am currently a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida.

I have experience in treating substance abuse, bereavement, depression, anxiety, and behavioral problems.  I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, families, and groups.

I believe in empowering my clients to take control of their lives and thrive within their communities. I also have a passion for working with the LGBTQ community.  LGBTQ clients experience difficulties that are often associated with their sexual identity and gender identity, and I am here to help these clients cope with these difficulties.

I believe that my background in the humanities has enabled me to see clients' problems and strengths from multiple perspectives, which allows me to better help my clients to achieve their therapeutic goals and surmount their personal and/or professional obstacles.

Let me help you to make positive and proactive choices in your life, so that you may thrive rather than merely survive.
